Shifu announced the “Buddhaland on Earth” initiative in early 2010 in the hope of awakening everyone to turn Earth into a paradise. Buddhaland on Earth International was founded in Taiwan in September of 2022. In February 2023, Buddhaland on Earth USA chapter was founded in California, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our goal is to teach purification of body, mind and spirit; help people cultivate their innate sacred light and loving kindness; support education and wellness programs; explore new solutions across different communities and cultures; unite world religious and political leaders to prevent war and establish world peace together.
We plan to offer Zen classes to help everyone enhance health, purge bias and hatred, find inner peace and joy, reveal innate wisdom, and cultivate the light of inner purity, goodness and perfection.

Our Shifu and Lineage
Shifu Wu Chueh Miao-Tien was born in 1934. Having lived through war in childhood and lost his mother at a young age made him ponder upon the uncertain and illusory nature of life often and prompted his pursuit for the spiritual liberation in adulthood.
At the age of 40, Shifu started his spiritual quest and met Master Jingzai, the 84th Pat
Shifu Wu Chueh Miao-Tien was born in 1934. Having lived through war in childhood and lost his mother at a young age made him ponder upon the uncertain and illusory nature of life often and prompted his pursuit for the spiritual liberation in adulthood.
At the age of 40, Shifu started his spiritual quest and met Master Jingzai, the 84th Patriarch of Zen. After 8 years of rigorous apprenticeship, at the age of 48, Shifu finally received the Heart Imprint from Master Jingzai, reached the ultimate enlightenment and became the 85th Patriarch of Zen.
Shifu has worked tirelessly over the past 40+ years chartering a brand new course toward lasting world peace for mankind. Having delivered his teaching through Zen centers and other spiritual organizations worldwide, Shifu wishes to purify everyone’s contaminated spirit so that their inner light can shine through and they can return to their spiritual home, the everlasting world of light.
